Infant Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team for our new building expansion. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to manage a classroom effectively while providing individualized attention to each child.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Maintain classroom management by establishing rules and routines that promote respect and cooperation.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for children.
Provide care for infants and toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Implement behavior management strategies to support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Requirements
CDA, DCF 45 Hours, Frog Street Experience
Proven experience working in a preschool
Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving.
First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to create engaging learning activities that cater to various learning styles.
