We combine deep engineering expertise with speed and focus to solve increasingly complex challenges, delivering at scale while keeping cost, weight, and complexity under control.\nYour Role Work with the customer and our engineering team to document and provide results for customer requirements.\nResponsibilities Work with customer engineering to identify wiring harness design verification and product validation requirements (design specifications/testing requirements, etc.).\nReview all test procedures and develop appropriate test plans.\nProvide recommendations to customers if previously identified test plan(s) do not meet the test purpose/outcome (sample size calculations, specification updates, etc.).\nParticipate in wiring harness design reviews.\nIdentify designs that do not meet specifications (splices, sealed terminals, etc.).\nProvide design recommendations for cost optimization.\nIdentify previously validated components to use on the harness to reduce validation cost.\nFacilitate all physical harness testing, including acquisition of test parts and coordination of quoting/payment process to non‑Versigent test labs (if necessary).\nCommunicate all design and testing non‑conformances to appropriate engineering team members.\nWork with the customer engineering team and provide design change recommendations for components that do not meet test requirements.\nWork with the customer validation engineer to create documentation (if required) and identify containment until a validated solution is in place.\nEngage with Versigent labs (or outside labs if testing is done there) to identify the root cause of test failures.\nProvide periodic status updates to customer and Versigent management on testing and design review.\nObtain all documentation, data, and reports from required design reviews and test events; prepare and formally present this information to the customer engineering team for final approval/sign‑off.\nCoordinate with the Application engineering team and the Quality/PPAP team to complete proper paperwork and prepare a package to send to customer for final approval—thereby allowing shipment of harnesses to the Vehicle Assemble Plant.\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of two years of experience in a validation or test role.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nAbility to work onsite in Troy, MI.\nMust be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the future.\nBenefits Private health care effective day 1 of employment.\nLife and accident insurance.\nPaid Time Off (holidays, vacation, designated time off, parental leave).\nRelocation assistance may be available.\nLearning and development opportunities.\nDiscount programs with various manufacturers and retailers.\nRecognition for innovation and excellence.\nOpportunities to give back to the community.\nTuition reimbursement.\nAdoption assistance.\nFertility coverage.\nVersigent is an equal employment opportunity employer.
