This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely blood bank testing to support patient care. Ideal candidates have strong experience in transfusion services and are comfortable working independently on night shift.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate specimen acceptability per established criteriaPerform routine and complex blood bank testing following SOPsOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentationMake independent technical decisions and resolve testing issuesPrepare and validate reagents, controls, and test systemsReport accurate, timely results to support patient carePerform quality control and preventative maintenanceMaintain inventory of lab supplies and restock as neededAssist with specimen processing when requiredEnsure compliance with safety protocols and PPE standardsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related fieldMinimum 1 year of clinical lab experience OR MLS degreeBlood Bank / Transfusion Services experience preferredASCP or AMT certification preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityComfortable working independently on nightsFamiliarity with LIS systems is a plusMust pass color vision screeningCOVID-19 vaccination required (or approved exemption)Why This Role$10,000 sign-on bonusConsistent 4x10 night scheduleHigh-impact role within blood bank/transfusion servicesOpportunity to work with advanced lab technology and a strong teamIf you have blood bank experience and want a stable night shift with strong compensation and sign-on, this is a solid opportunity.$10,000 sign-on bonusConsistent 4x10 night scheduleHigh-impact role within blood bank/transfusion servicesOpportunity to work with advanced lab technology and a strong teamAbout MedasourceHere at Medasource, the heartbeat of healthcare meets boundless opportunities!
