Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $82-87 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced  Labor & Delivery RN  to join a high‑performing  L&D team at a respected hospital in Concord, MA. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process. Job Function: Shift: 40 hrs/ 5x8 Days | Monday – Friday | 5x8s | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Assess and categorize patients into the  appropriate level  of care Apply and interpret  external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity Implement  timely  interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition Identify  and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately Administer medications safely  in accordance with  the  Five Rights  and infection‑control standards Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines Assist  physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Minimum of five (5) years of obstetrical nursing experience required Demonstrated leadership abilities required Evidence of continued professional growth and knowledge of current nursing trends Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Current Massachusetts RN license required BLS Certification required ACLS Certification required NRP Certification required Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage staffing and operational priorities in a dynamic clinical environment Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
