MCIS has established itself with a reputation as a quality construction company that maintains its core values and “family” atmosphere.\n\nPosition Overview\nThe Superintendent at MCIS is a key field leader responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence, leading the Basic Installation Unit (BIU) assigned. In this capacity, you will manage day-to-day site execution, direct and coordinate subcontractors, and provide operational oversight across manpower, equipment, and readiness. You will act as the primary on-site liaison between the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while also maintaining situational awareness and reporting BIU readiness to leadership.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nField & Site Management\nSupervise all field activities on the jobsite, including structure, personnel, finishes, and site work.\nLead daily site meetings with subcontractors, field teams, and BIU members to align work plans.\nInspect work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and safety standards\nVerify delivery, staging, and storage of materials and equipment in coordination with logistics.\nMaintain and update the project schedule with input from the Project Manager and BIU leadership.\nDirect the operational execution of your assigned BIU, ensuring alignment with project schedules and manpower laydowns\nMaintain visibility of BIU readiness, including personnel, equipment, and training requirements.\nForecast manpower, material, and operational needs to ensure readiness and on-time delivery.\nFacilitate coordination between BIU teams, logistics, safety, estimating, and quality assurance.\nPrepare and deliver BIU operational briefings to senior leadership, covering metrics, status updates, and emerging issues\nRespond to operational disruptions, initiate contingency plans, and oversee recovery efforts.\nMonitor communication flow across all active BIU teams, ensuring timely updates and shift transitions\nSafety & Quality Enforcement\nEnforce all MCIS and OSHA safety standards, policies, and procedures\nConduct daily safety meetings and ensure team members use proper PPE\nParticipate in safety audits, report incidents, and coordinate corrective actions\nConduct regular inspections to verify workmanship meets MCIS quality standards\nCoordinate inspections with local authorities and third-party inspectors\nProgress Tracking & Reporting\nMaintain thorough documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, photos, and field reports.\nTrack and report operational status, safety observations, and BIU readiness metrics.\nAssist with punch list completion and project closeout\nWorkforce Development\nMentor and develop foremen, solution team leaders, and other field personnel within your BIU.\nSupport training initiatives, readiness programs, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\n\nExpected Working Hours\nStandard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (EST).\nOvertime and weekend work may be required based on project needs.\nHours are subject to change depending on project demands\n\nEmployment Terms\nAt-Will Employment: Employment with MCIS is at-will.
