Warehouse WorkerThe Warehouse Worker plays a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient movement of goods through the facility. This position focuses on order processing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. You will work closely with other team members to support timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.ResponsibilitiesAccurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labeled, securely packaged, and ready for on-time dispatch.Conduct regular inventory counts, update inventory records, and promptly report any discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, and storing items in designated locations.Inspect products for defects, damages, and expiration dates, ensuring only quality items are stored and shipped to customers.Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment, following proper handling and safety procedures.Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized warehouse by arranging products systematically and keeping aisles and work areas clear of obstructions.Complete and maintain accurate documentation of warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving logs, inventory adjustments, and damage reports.Use RF scanners and shipment processing software to track inventory, process orders, and update system records in real time.Collaborate with other warehouse staff and departments to support smooth daily operations and timely fulfillment of customer orders.Handle general material handling tasks such as moving, staging, and replenishing stock as needed to support production and shipping activities.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of warehousing experience.Proven experience with order picking, packing, and processing customer shipments.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook.Ability to use RF scanners to pick, track, and manage inventory.Experience with general material handling tasks in a warehouse environment.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and inventory records.Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift operation experience, including sit-down forklifts, is preferred.Experience using shipment processing software to manage orders and shipments.Background in warehouse inventory management and cycle counting.Experience with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.Familiarity with production support activities within a warehouse setting.Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly storage and clear aisles.Why Work Here?You will join an organization with a long-standing presence in the healthcare manufacturing space, offering the opportunity to contribute to the distribution of meaningful products such as incontinence care, advanced wound care, skin care, and baby care items. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, for an 8-hour workday. You will regularly use warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including sit-down forklifts), RF scanners, and shipment processing software, and will perform frequent material handling, loading, and unloading tasks. The workspace emphasizes clear aisles, organized storage, and adherence to safe material handling practices.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
