Financial Controller

Leader in the manufacturing industry seeks Controller with excellent leadership skills and strong manufacturing and cost experience for their North Phoenix location.Job Description: As the Controller you will be responsible for the general and cost accounting functions, including the preparation of financial statement and for ensuring regulatory compliance related to taxation, payroll and employee benefits. The controller is responsible for administration and performance of the accounting activities; quality and continuous improvement of departmental operation and processes; establishing departmental objectives and plan in accordance with company goals; and implementation of departmental plans.Responsibilities:· Ensuring all monthly financial reporting requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner· Providing meaningful financial information and analysis to the management team· Reviewing and presenting the monthly forecasts submitted by the respective departments and researching any issues represented by the forecasts· Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial systems used by the group to run the business· Ensuring that all departments are in compliance with company financial policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles· Acting as the main interface between both internal and external audit, including scheduling for all interim and year-end audit activities· Cost accounting including standard cost development and variance analysis· Implementing and coordinating an annual budget process; that includes assuring all expenditures are supported by an approved Capital Appropriations.
