Manages project portfolio in compliance with industry standards and organizationally defined project management methodology and processes. Establishes processes for tracking and delivering projects and/or supports continuous improvement efforts with existing processes and tools. Works with and leads project teams and establishes priorities. Serves as a liaison between project teams, external clients, or other functional areas of the organization. Sets and manages project expectations. Ensures projects are completed to an established and agreed upon schedule, meet established quality standards, and are managed within scope. Provides reports to internal and/or external clients, project sponsors, and leaders.Job Summary Management responsibility for assigned portfolio of projects and coordinates the work activities for multiple functions to ensure overall satisfying delivery for the customer and/or internal stakeholders. Responsibility for ensuring the projects are executed via the organization’s defined implementation process and full compliance within the framework (e.g. delivery implementation process and gate reviews) which includes all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, delivery, and project wrap up. Responsibility for managing the portfolio of projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards to ensure business line financial objectives are met. Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators and prepares reports to senior/executive management. May be required to assist with the selection, negotiation, and/or managing of all activities of external consultants or vendors. Support other JPS leadership and organizational initiatives as needed. Essential Job Functions Function as part of the management team within the JPS Business Line and PMO to accomplish and support overall JPS project management excellence objectives. This involves providing thought leadership and indirect coaching, mentoring, and influencing of team members; planning, prioritizing and monitoring technical team member tasks; organizing and monitoring work process and work progress of team members in a matrix organization; enforcement of processes, tools, standards, and techniques utilized by team members. Direct oversight of the assigned portfolio of projects by practicing and enforcing compliance with established delivery implementation processes and industry-standard project management principles and best practices; tracking and managing scope, time, cost, and quality of project deliveries and deliverables to ensure alignment with, and compliance of, established objectives. Financial management of the assigned projects to ensure projects are completed within budget. Work with Finance, Program Managers, and Leadership to execute any necessary mitigation actions to achieve company goals and objectives. Conduct formal monthly project reviews to ensure the overall health of customer delivery projects and/or strategic internal projects. Responsible for scheduling of the project reviews; publishing key agenda for the reviews (focus may change from time to time); coordinating attendance, participation, and support from key stakeholders and leaders; creating a record of the project review and managing resulting action items from the reviews. Collaborate with other leaders in the engineering organization and/or shared services groups to ensure overall success of the project deliveries, including at times providing direction on competing priorities. Specific projects: manage the JPS Enrollment Services kiosk solution; transition all third party supported adjudication portal to the new IDEMIA CARES solution. Provide management reporting to executive leadership as required.
