This position also assists Machine, Analyst, and other teams with processes as needed.\nDuties include but are not limited to:\nAnalyze as needed if MN is over 175\nWeekly status update meetings to discuss deadlines and issues/delays\nPerform all aspects of a validation project for individual analytes and a new machine\nEnsure that workstation and any project supplies are cleaned up each day\nLearns different aspects of the lab to help improve processes and improve method development.\nCommunicates with Lab and Machine Team members about instrument use/availability.\nCompletes documentation for any machine maintenance or project updates.\nPrepares solutions for projects that are in progress.\nCommunicates with other departments/compliance about any updates on projects that affect the workflow of the company.\nCommunicate with outside companies on future projects and advancements for supplies.\nComplete preventative and reactive maintenance on instruments.\nQuantify standards and perform daily QC’s in the case of machine team staffing issues.\nComplete quality control verification for the month in the case of machine team staffing issues.\nIdentity and/or assist with new projects and methodology as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: biology, chemistry, toxicology, clinical chemistry, or a relatable life science.\nPrevious lab experience including review of analytical data and Quality Control; toxicology experience in a laboratory performing prescription drug monitoring or in a SAMHSA certified Laboratory is preferred.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:\nThis is a full-time position, M-F\nOccasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.\nTravel:\nLimited Travel\nSupervisory Responsibility:\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of basic principles and practical applications of chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology, microbiology, molecular biology, and/or related laboratory specialties.\nDemonstrate the ability to communicate written and verbal scientific and clinical information.\nGood organizational, communication, strong computer database and laboratory or clinical specimen management skills.\nAbility to perform basic data analysis and peer review to the capacity of at least 100 reports per day.\nKnowledge of a variety of standard laboratory procedures and techniques.\nCritical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.\nProblem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.\nJudgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.\nCollaboration / Teamwork - Working effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships which encourage the free exchange of ideas and achievement of team goals.\nScience — Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems.\nQuality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
