As the front-line supervisor, this role involves overseeing the conceptual development of these projects and ensuring their successful organization, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, subcontractor management, safety, quality, and implementation.\nWhat You'll Do:\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Planning and Management:\nLead pre-construction efforts in bid preparation, contract and exhibit review, and execution planning.\nLead budget projections for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project.\nEnsure project costs stay within the forecasted budget range and implement cost-saving measures where possible.\nDevelop and oversee project Schedule of Values (SOV), update based on production, prepare billing packages, and submit to the customer.\nResponsible for daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress for all construction activities.\nProvide project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting.\nDevelop and manage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project.\nDevelop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for information.\nReview cost reports and evaluate methods to reduce costs while maintaining productivity.\nResponsible for the invoicing or payment application process for completed scope.\nContract Administration:\nPrepare, review, and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.\nWork with legal to oversee contracts to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good relationships.\nEnsure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.\nPrepare and manage subcontracts, vendors, and associated documentation.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nMaintain comprehensive electronic and printed files of working documents in accordance with outlined document control practices.\nGenerate and review daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress reports for all construction activities.\nPresent project updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.\nStakeholder Communication and Issue Resolution:\nBuild and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.\nLead meetings with supervisory personnel, subcontractors, or engineers to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.\nInterpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.\nMaterial and Quality Management:\nDevelop and oversee project material trackers based on customer Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and scope. Maintain material tracker based on inventories, production, shortages, and damages.\nMonitor and control construction through communication with the superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.\nExecute corrective actions to address delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies.\nMonitor the quality of weekly labor and equipment hours, material, and subcontractor reporting.\nEnsure productivity, efficient use of materials/equipment, and contractual performance of the project.\nTeam Leadership and Development:\nMentor and guide project managers and assistant project managers, providing training and development opportunities.\nFoster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.\nLead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as required, including the formulation of the agenda and minutes.\nOversee and coordinate staffing adjustments to align with upcoming projects and recently completed work.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nQualifications:\nExperience: Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience in high-voltage electric transmission and distribution construction or a related field.\nTechnical Proficiency: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with project management software is preferred.\nCommunication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.\nMulti-tasking Ability: Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.\nAdaptability: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, switch directions as needed, and demonstrate adaptability.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or business, or a related field is required.
