This position serves as a Discipline Lead Material Controller on assigned projects of difficult complexity and size and/or Multi Discipline Lead Material Control Coordinator or Manager on projects of difficult complexity. Displays advanced knowledge of Fluor's practices and guidelines.\r\n\r\nUtilize approved material control practices and guidelines in performing work.\r\nDevelop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects with respect to Material Control for their discipline.\r\nCoordinate / Manage Discipline Lead Material Controllers to control Management of Change relating to Materials for all Disciplines in conjunction with Discipline Leads under the supervision of the Project Engineering Manager.\r\nEstablish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.\r\nPerform thorough analysis on material quantities generated by Engineering and subsequently providing guidance and direction for requisitioning, purchasing, and forecasting activities.\r\nResponsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Control Work Process to meet project requirements and schedule.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\nBasic Job Requirements\r\nAccredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements\r\n\r\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\r\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\r\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\r\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\r\n\r\nOther Job Requirements\r\n\r\nMust be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nMaterial Control Summary\r\nThe Discipline Lead Material Controller provides senior-level technical leadership and oversight of material control activities on large, complex engineering and construction projects. This role requires advanced knowledge of material management principles and the ability to exercise independent judgment while planning, executing, and supervising material control functions.
