The position is based in Hawthorne, CA.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nOversee and own full lifecycle of projects with on-time and under-budget delivery\nManage all aspects of multi-discipline construction projects in the field and office\nBe the overall construction project manager and extreme owner\nPerform project control tasks, including project scheduling and cost control\nInteract with contractors, fabricators, and internal customers\nResolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time\nProvide budgetary costs based upon the preliminary scope of the project\nGather proposals from architects, engineers and contractors; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals\nFacilitate city, county, and governmental approvals\nCoordinate project implementation and track project status\nCoordinate with end user and facilities team for building operations and maintenance\nDevelop tools and approach to supporting the space allocation and adjudication process across the enterprise\nCoordinate real estate planning and management functions as needed\nTake on new projects ad-hoc as the business needs\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nBachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or construction management\n1+ years of construction experience\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n3+ years of experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License\nExperience with electrical, mechanical, or structural design and analysis\nAbility to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and cost\nExperience with any of the following:\nInfrastructure development of any kind\nHigh power electrical systems, advanced mechanical systems and/or cleanroom design\n\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nAbility to work at elevated heights, outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, snow)\nPhysical effort including standing, lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment (15 to 35 lbs.)\nAbility to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise\nMust be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed based on site operational needs\nAbility to provide on-call support in emergency situations\nDemonstrated ability to work independently\nOccasional travel may be required based on specific project tasks\nValid driver's license\n\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:\n\nPay Range:\nLevel 1: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00\nLevel 2: $115,000.00 - $160,000.00\n\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\n\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
