With advanced systems, a full range of 13 dedicated machines, and tonnage presses up to 990 tons, we ensure cost-effective results backed by recognized industry expertise as featured in Plastics News and The Charlotte Observer.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Supervisor role for our 3rd Shift operations at Double O Plastics in Kannapolis, NC. The Supervisor will oversee and manage production activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily production schedules, supervising team members, monitoring equipment, ensuring adherence to company protocols, maintaining accurate records, and addressing any production challenges that arise. The role requires collaborative leadership to foster a productive and safe work environment while meeting production objectives.QualificationsLeadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectivelyKnowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding and production schedulingProblem-solving and decision-making abilities, with strong analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure clear team coordinationExperience in quality assurance, safety procedures, and operational efficiency improvementsWorking knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenanceProficiency in Microsoft Office or related software; familiarity with production management systems is a plusHigh School diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferredPrior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirableWe are looking for a hands-on supervisor that is able to process, setup and startup plastic injection molding equipment in a medium sized manufacturing facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Startup and Manage 10-12 Injection Molding Machines while continuously reviewing Parts during the Shift-Supervise 8-12 Employees-Follow and Enforce all Safety Rules-Use Production Schedule to assign Tasks and Priorities during the Shift-Troubleshoot Manufacturing and Assembly Processes-Review and Record Production Numbers-Assist in Mold and Equipment Setup, Employee Training and Quality Control as NeededApplicant Needs:-Minimum 2 years plastics manufacturing experience-Strong Troubleshooting and Time Management Skills-Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical and Industrial Skills-Team-oriented and Self-Directed-Good communication and Leadership Skills-Required to operate Forklift and Overhead Crane.
