The primary focus will be on qualifying alternate parts, design, testing and failure analysis. This position may work independently to formulate potential solutions to given component issues, assembly problems or changes to facilitate manufacturing.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities / Skills\n\nGeneral motor controller and temperature controller understanding.\n\nHigh-reliability electronics design/analysis awareness: derating, thermalmargins, worst-case analysis, tolerance stack-ups, datasheet comparisons.\n\nAerospace environmental / safety conscience: DO-160, AC.25-981C, vibration/shock, altitude, humidity, salt fog (as applicable), temperature and thermal analysis, understanding of connector/cabling/hardware considerations,system safety, explosion proof design, intrinsic safety.\n\nPower quality & protection: surge/transient handling, inrush limiting, circuitlightning protection.\n\nEMI/EMC discipline: grounding/bonding concepts, cable shielding terminations, filtering for radiated and conducted emissions, common and differential modefilters.\n\nSchematic / PCB: Altium proficient, read / edit schematics and PCB.\n\nPrinted Circuit Board: Supplier/PCBA process knowledge (conformal coat, staking,bonding, potting, cleanliness).\n\nQualification/verification mindset: test plans, requirements traceability, evidence packages to verify and validate selections as needed.\n\nFailure analysis & reliability: FRACAS, root cause + corrective action effectiveness, counterfeit parts awareness, problem solving.\n\nPrimary Qualifications\n\nA minimum of 3–5 years Electrical Engineering experience.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to write clear test reports, FRACAS entries, and deviation/waiver justifications.\n\nSelf‑starter who understands the need for accuracy, timeliness and quality in assigned work tasks.\n\nWorking knowledge of EE-related software, hardware and testing tools.\n\nEducation\nRequires a Bachelor’s of Science or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.\n\nDue to the responsibilities of these positions, customer requirements, and Export Control Information (ECI), all qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens.\n\nAdvatech Pacific is an Equal Opportunity andAffirmative Action Employer.
