You'll be the person who makes sure our books are clean, our close process runs on time, and our leadership team has the numbers they need to make good decisions. This role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with our Finance, Legal, People and Operations teams.\nThis is an in-office role based in our San Francisco or New York office.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process — on time and with accuracy\nLead our first audit and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors\nOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and equity administration\nBuild and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations\nPartner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis\nDrive improvements to our financial systems and processes as we scale\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller role\nCPA required\nDeep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards\nExperience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies — you understand what \"scaling\" actually means for a finance function\nStrong working knowledge of accounting systems\nTrack record of building or improving close processes and internal controls\nComfortable working across functions and communicating financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders\nBonus: experience supporting a Series B–D company through an audit or preparing for one\nYou’ve worked in fast-moving teams where scope and priorities evolve\nYou have start-up DNA: You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments etc.\nYou exemplify our operating principles.\nYou are motivated to build something great: you hold a high bar for quality, craft, and impact\nYou embrace hot takes: you share informed opinions, challenge the status quo, and engage in constructive debate\nYou operate with maximum agency: you take ownership, move work forward independently, and help others unblock\nYou run to the roar: you lean into hard problems, ambiguity, and fast-moving challenges\nCompensation:\nAnnual salary range: $200,000-225,000 USD\nCompensation Philosophy:\nWe offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
