Field and management experience is preferred, with the ability to coordinate with clients at all levels of a design/construction project. MDEP is involved in the local communities that is serves, as as advocating for the structural engineering and design industries though professional organizations.\nThe ideal candidate is an ambitious and motivated individual who is excited to apply their talents to produce excellent structural engineering designs with a dedicated and talented team.\nResponsibilities\nManage the design of structures using all of the main building materials, with a precise and creative approach.\nPerform construction administration services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and specialized structural observations.\nCollaborate with architects, designers, and building contractors for efficient value-engineering and control of the structural elements of projects.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science from an accredited university in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures required\n5 years of experience in structural engineering\nPE/SE Certification preferred\nProficient use of RISA 3D, SAP, Revit, or similar software to perform structural analysis\nDetailed experience designing steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures for all sectors.\nExperience analyzing mechanical equipment support and anchorage for seismic and wind regions.\nResponsible charge-level knowledge of building codes, structural standards, and jurisdiction requirements.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nMDEP is an equal opportunity employer.
