Working within the SearchPlus and application development team, the Senior Application Developer designs, builds, and maintains enterprise web applications and search capabilities that serve a user base of approximately 12,000 and integrate with large-scale cloud data stores. This vacancy is for proposed work, and any offer of employment would be contingent upon award.\n\nEssential Functions\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using ASP.NET C# MVC and modern front-end frameworks.\nDevelop and enhance application or enterprise search capabilities, including integration with ElasticSearch / AWS OpenSearch.\nBuild and maintain decoupled application components leveraging message queuing.\nDevelop responsive user interfaces using React.js or Angular.\nSupport application integration with large-scale data stores and enterprise data warehouse environments.\nParticipate in Agile development, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery.\nTroubleshoot, optimize, and document application performance and reliability.\n\nCompetencies\n8+ years of software and web development experience.\n5+ years of ASP.NET C# MVC based web development using Visual Studio 2019 or higher.\n5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies.\nExperience with Application or Enterprise Search; ElasticSearch / AWS OpenSearch experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with decoupled application development leveraging message queuing.\n2+ years of React.js or Angular experience.\n1+ years of ASP.NET Core experience using Visual Studio 2019 or higher.’\nExperience developing against cloud-hosted, high-availability search clusters.\nExperience supporting federal or mission-critical enterprise applications.\n\nSupervisory Responsibility\nNone for this position\n\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in executive settings with frequent engagement at the highest levels of Navy leadership. This role uses executive office equipment and classified communication systems.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands are typical of executive positions, with extensive travel and high-stress decision-making requirements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.\n\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time executive position with flexible hours based on mission requirements.\n\nTravel\nNo travel is expected for this position.\n\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in data science or a related quantitative field. Experience can be considered in lieu of education\n\nDrug Free Workplace\nAll Native Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
