This includes the facilitation of allocating resources effectively and efficiently, providing guidance to Teams, Project Managers and coordinators , providing direction on critical path milestones and key project decisions, financial management, deliverables reviews, and serving as an escalation point on the program as needed.Partner with Leadership and Workstream Leads to define metrics and criteria for project success.Prioritize work in alignment within the program governance framework, program timelines, deliverables and critical path items.In collaboration with Project Managers and Workstream Leads: oUnderstand respective workstream's scope and interdependencies. oLeveraging PI Planning, build and continuously update a useful workplan/schedule for how and when work will be completed. oUse the workplans to inform your updates to the IPP on a weekly basis.Compare and contrast your workstream's work plans and schedules against other workstreams to ensure dependencies are known and accounted for and solution on how you can organize work to ensure the success of milestones. EXECUTION: Guide your team through the execution of the workOversee project management execution of your assigned ASCEND program portfolio and ensure Workstream and PMO leadership are informed of progress and escalating any risks, issues or decisions as required.Monitor the results, effectiveness, and overall quality of the project services offered and raising any corrective actions identified to PMO leadership.Work with project teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and associated documentation standards and assist in continuously improve processes and procedures.Works with Product Owner (BPM) /Product Manager (BPL) to ensure that the product vision and high-level business objectives are clear and achievable and correctly slotted in PI Planning artifacts.Continuously analyze recurring meeting cadences are effective and aligned to current phases of the respective releases.Listen for and help the program identify and raise decisions, risks, or issues (threats to accomplishing your workplan) in various interactions and meetings you are a part of and use the information in these interactions to identify and communicate cross team dependencies.Coordinate and respond to QA findings and determine a path to resolution.Coordinate with Business Process Managers (BPMs) and workstream leadership when logging risks/issues.Apply good judgement and objectivity when interacting with Leadership and ensure communication/awareness is unambiguous.Provide guidance to your project managers in defining mitigation strategies for risks and recovery plans for issues.Ensure the Risk / Issue log is complete, updated and meets the PMO quality standards (dates, impacts, ownership, next steps, escalation, impacted workstreams & teams).Ensure Integrated Program Plan is maintained, and cross team dependencies are identified and communicated.Listen for and help the team identify scope changes (deviations from initial requirements) and follow due process.Guide your teams through the established governance processes for managing scope (DMO, CR and Decision Templates, Jira records, and CCB agenda items). Where there are 3rd party / vendor impacts, the Project / Program Manager is to pay particular attention to aspects related to the development and approval of the SOW and ensure that time is allocated towards these tasks in the IPP.Actively participate in the preparation of materials for DMO and CCB meetings. You need to know the details and understand the impacts and cross- workstream dependencies to ensure these are laid out in Jira and any presentation materials.Monitor deliverables specific to your workstream and proactively engage with deliverable owners to ensure they are being worked on and reviewed timeously, if any deliverables are at risk of being completed on time, raise to your workstream lead and PMO leadership. Communications: The PMO is accountable for signaling to everyone how the program is doing, what's next, and bringing up risks or issues for visibility and resolution.Submit detailed reporting to management on risk assessments, milestone completion, and program status.Ensure that your key Workstream milestones are correctly and effectively represented and critical path items are reflected in the milestone timelines, including being thoughtful with the narrative and messaging with audience in mind.Proactively lead your teams to ensure status reports are efficiently updated on time while ensuring inputs are representative of the workstream and not only the PMO.Frequently engage with your fellow program managers across workstreams to discuss Risk/Issue impacts, Change Request/Decision impacts, and feature dependencies.Speak up during team meetings, Program Sync, DMO and Risk/Issues calls. Demonstrate a commitment to owning items and ensuring proper mitigation and/or recovery plans.Seek to understand your workstreams work well enough to be able to look ahead and see risks. Using good judgement in bringing critical items (Risks/Issues/CR's/Decisions) to the attention of PMO leadership.Participate in any forums (meetings) where key, cross-workstream information is being shared (Program Sync, R2 Program Manager Sync, DMO, Risks/Issues meeting, R2 weekly sync, PMO Standup, and IPP Cross-functional reviews).Feel empowered to ask questions, especially regarding Risks, Issues and Decisions to avoid impacts to scope, cost and schedule.
