This role is suited for an experienced full-stack engineer with a passion for building accessible, high-quality web applications.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, test, and deploy high-quality features for a government-focused tax benefits platform using Ruby on Rails and modern web technologies.\nDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues efficiently, gaining versatility across multiple tech systems.\nWrite automated tests, implement monitoring solutions, and ensure high service reliability.\nCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and researchers to translate user feedback into tangible features.\nDesign scalable, maintainable solutions that prioritize clean code and best practices.\nBreak down tasks, estimate effort, and prioritize work effectively within an agile environment.\nMentor junior team members and share knowledge to foster team growth.\nStay current with industry best practices around web accessibility (WCAG 2.2 or similar) and modern development workflows.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer.\n2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.\n2+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure and tooling.\n2+ years working within Agile and Scrum methodologies, including pair programming, scoping, and estimating.\nStrong proficiency with modern web development tools and practices, including GitHub, CI/CD, TDD, and web accessibility standards.\nAbility to work independently with minimal guidance and deliver high-quality solutions on time.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nExperience with TDD and automated testing frameworks.\nKnowledge of GitHub best practices and CI/CD pipelines.\nFamiliarity with web accessibility (WCAG 2.2 or similar).\nStrong communication skills and the ability to mentor others.\nExperience in government or highly regulated environments is a plus.\nAt Premier Talent Partners, we are a people-centered recruitment firm with a strong focus on skills-based hiring.
