You'll be part of a collaborative, and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions.\nSummary:\nUnder close direction of experienced operators or a Production Team Leader, operates the SMT placement equipment and/or other equipment in order to perform the tasks necessary to manufacture PCBs and/or systems.\n\nThe Apprentice I is an entry-level manufacturing position designed for individuals pursuing a career in precision machining. This role provides hands-on experience in machining, hand finishing, inspection, and manufacturing processes while working under the guidance of experienced machinists and supervisors. Candidates may be concurrently enrolled in a machining or manufacturing trade program.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nMachine Shop Support\nAssist machinists with machine setup and operation.\nLoad and unload parts from CNC and manual machines.\nDeburr and clean machined components.\nPerform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.\nOrganize tooling, fixtures, and work areas.\nLearn proper machine safety procedures and safe work practices.\nHand Finishing Operations\nDeburr machined parts using hand tools and pneumatic tools.\nSand, polish, blend, and finish surfaces to specifications.\nRemove sharp edges and burrs while maintaining dimensional requirements.\nPerform cosmetic finishing on precision components.\nClean and package finished products.\nQuality and Inspection\nLearn to read engineering drawings and work instructions.\nUse measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges.\nPerform basic dimensional inspections.\nRecord inspection results and production data.\nIdentify and report quality concerns to supervisors.\nGeneral Shop Responsibilities\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment.\nFollow all safety, quality, and company policies.\nAssist with inventory and material handling.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives.\nWork effectively with machinists, programmers, inspectors, and supervisors.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nInterest in manufacturing, machining, or engineering.\nEnrollment in or willingness to enroll in a machining, CNC, or manufacturing trade program.\nBasic mechanical aptitude.\nAbility to use hand tools and learn technical skills.\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.\nPotential Career Progression\nApprentice I\nOperator I.
