This role oversees Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS), and related control center technologies.\r\nThe position provides strategic and technical leadership across real-time operations, grid modernization initiatives, and system modeling, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., DPU, PURA, PUC), alignment with corporate objectives, and delivery of long-term business value across the three-state service territory.\r\nEssential Functions\r\n\r\n\r\nPlan, schedule, and manage engineering and technical resources responsible for DMS, SCADA, and DERMS model development, maintenance, and validation.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure accuracy and integrity of transmission and distribution system models, including daily oversight of distribution models from GIS extraction through build and validation.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide operating support and maintenance for control center applications, displays, front-end processors, and communications infrastructure.\r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate outage applications and real-time operational requirements with ISO-NE and internal System Operations teams.\r\n\r\n\r\nLead design and execution of grid modernization initiatives related to operational technology platforms.\r\n\r\n\r\nServe as business product owner for DMS, SCASA, DERMS and other key OT platforms, overseeing configuration, enhancements, system upgrades, and roadmap alignment.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelop and maintain OT product roadmaps to enable advanced control room capabilities, including Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO), Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration (FLISR), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and other advanced applications.\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluate emerging technologies, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and recommend long-term investment strategies to maximize operational and customer value.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist in establishing goals, policies, standards, budgets, and performance objectives for electric system operations technology.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelop technology deployment plans to expand, upgrade, and enhance OT portfolios in response to evolving business and regulatory requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure preparation of technical documentation, regulatory filings, written responses, presentations, and expert testimony as required across all jurisdictions.\r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate development, testing, and maintenance of software tools that support real-time operations and post-event system analysis.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide seasonal and operational analysis models for System Operations, including load and generation forecasting.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport control center simulator systems and ensure readiness for training and emergency preparedness.\r\n\r\n\r\nLead evaluation and design of telemetry and communications architectures supporting field devices and remote terminal units (RTUs).\r\n\r\n\r\nDirect and develop supervisors, engineers, technicians, and consultants;
