Join our team of professionals who support large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology and take your career to the next level!\nEngineering Technician IV will provide construction quality assurance and project management labor support to various locations within the NAVFAC Washington Area of Responsibility, performing various tasks/services.\nResponsibilities\nFunctions as a team member on assigned construction projects.\nRepresents the FEAD/ROICC at the construction site and monitors the construction Contractor Quality Control (CQC) to ensure they are achieving quality work.\nAssists Construction Managers in the coordination and construction of projects.\nAttends and participates in all construction and CQC meetings.\nMonitor and notify the Project Superintendent, QC Manager, and Government Staff immediately of safety violations.\nNotify the Government Construction Manager (CM) and the FEAD/ROICC if the Contractor does not correct a hazardous working condition or a continuing safety issue in a timely or acceptable manner.\nReport all accidents immediately to the Construction Manager, FEAD/ROICC office, and Contracting Officers.\nReviews construction plans and specifications.\nNotify CM and KO of any situation that may result in a construction contract dispute, modification, or require a stop work order to be issued to the construction contractor.\nInvestigates/inspects/performs Quality Assurance of the construction contract/CQC system and coordinates resolution of technical problems.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n5+ years of evaluation of new and existing commercial, industrial, and health care facilities.\nSecret clearance required.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nPossess intermediate computer skills of office automation software, like MS Office 2007-based programs or higher, and other types of office information database software\nHas a thorough knowledge of the construction contract requirements on each definable feature of work\nThoroughly familiar with QC inspection tools, techniques, and methodologies\nExtensive technical and practical knowledge and experience as an Engineering Technician\nKnowledge of principles of construction technology and construction industry practices\nKnowledge and experience with applicable Codes and Industry Standards\nKnowledge of EM 385-1-1, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Safety and Health Requirements Manual\nAbility to communicate effectively through oral and written presentations\nAbility to take measurements and estimate construction progress\nAbility to interpret plans and specifications\nHow youll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
