MSI General is one of the first fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 65 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in design, estimating, and construction management.\nThis is a full-time, in-office (not remote) position.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and administer project schedules\nVisit assigned job sites daily and manage safety, cleanliness, quality, and expected project progress\nReview, interpret, maintain, and communicate drawings and subcontractor submittals\nResolve questions, concerns, or conflicts on plans or in the field promptly with diligence\nAttend project meetings and run regular/special subcontractor coordination meetings\nRequired Qualifications\nContinued Education in Construction Management or a construction trade\nAt least 5 years of direct construction supervision management experience, or at least 10 years in the construction trades\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field\nOSHA safety training (30-hour course)\n15+ years of experience in the construction industry\nAdditional Requirements\nBroad understanding of all aspects of constructing a building: site work, concrete, masonry, steel enclosure, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing\nThorough awareness of building codes, safety rules and regulations\nExperience using Outlook, Word and Excel, Smartsheet and Autodesk Build\nAbility to walk a construction site and climb a ladder, capable of accessing all construction areas and tolerating adverse weather conditions\nAbility to anticipate unforeseen issues, develop alternative plans, coordinate important details, adjust priorities, and delegate as needed\nAbility to interact and communicate with others respectfully and professionally\nAbility to accept new duties, responsibilities, and other assignments readily\nDesire to follow through effectively by turning concepts into actions\nGood vision and driving skills\nValid driver’s license\nAdditional Responsibilities\nReport on current job statuses at our weekly company Job Progress meetings\nReview and approve subcontractor invoices for completed work\nMaintain close contact with the owner and/or owners’ reps in the field\nIssue Field Work Authorization Notices (FWANs) for non-contracted work\nPrepare and distribute weekly meeting minutes and end-of-week updates\nParticipate in quarterly performance conversations with the Director of Construction\nCompensation & Benefits\nGenerous benefits package\nCorporate wellness program\nOn-site fitness center\nEducation or training assistance\nTeam building activities & outings\nMSI General’s Core Values\nThese five traits represent our company culture.
