Groundskeeper

Day to Day: · Safely operates powered equipment in mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, and tees. · Waters and fertilizes putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs as instructed. · Grades and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants vegetative material, and seeds putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. · Changes cups on the greens and moves tee markers as instructed. · Maintains ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers. · Safely operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. · Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers as needed. · Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting. · Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in the respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (ie no trash/debris on course, etc.). · Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members, and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team. · Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible. All the other stuff we do: Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. Adhere to all of the various company, club and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job. Responsible for demonstrating good teamwork. Professional, impeccable appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel. Take initiative to solve problems, utilizing all available resources including regional and corporate staff. Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely. Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested. About you: · High School diploma, preferred · Prior knowledge of golf course operations and maintenance, preferred · Ability to perform outdoor work year-round, with possible extreme temperature variations Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, driving, exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs on occasion, folding/unfolding, talking, hearing, and seeing. Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
