Retail Sales Associate The UPS Store – Franchise Location Pay Rate: $17.50 - $20.00 Per Hour Overview The UPS Store is a franchised subsidiary of United Parcel Service (UPS), offering shipping, packaging, printing, mailbox, and notary services. We are seeking a motivated, high-energy Retail & Digital Print Associate to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face of our retail location—delivering world-class customer service while managing shipping transactions, retail sales, merchandising, and digital print production. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essential. The ideal candidate will have retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, a professional appearance, and a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with shipping, mailing, printing, and retail needs Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle cash transactions accurately and with integrity Answer phone, email, and walk-in inquiries with professionalism Maintain clean, organized merchandising displays and stocked shelves Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Help open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting procedures Expertly package shipments for safe arrival (assemble stock boxes, build custom boxes, properly cushion contents) Process local, national, and international shipments using various carriers Operate copiers, binding equipment, laminators, fax machines, and other production equipment Maintain high quality control while multitasking in a quick-turn environment Team & Store Support Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, coworkers, and leadership Handle demanding or frustrated customers with empathy and professionalism Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of customer service or retail experience preferred 1–2 years of print production/graphic design experience OR a two-year degree in graphic design (preferred) Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Adobe experience highly preferred) Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong analytical and math skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Energetic self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively Professional appearance and positive attitude Prompt, reliable, and responsible Ability to lift 50+ pounds Bilingual abilities are a plus Join our team and grow your retail, customer service, and print production skills in an engaging and rewarding environment!
