SharePoint Administrator, Lead

OverviewAMERICAN SYSTEMS, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to manage and maintain three on-premises SharePoint farms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role will also lead the upgrade of our current SharePoint environments to the latest supported version of Microsoft SharePoint, including planning, execution, testing, and post-migration support.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SharePoint architecture, farm administration, upgrades/migrations, and working closely with infrastructure and business teams. Qualified candidates will be contacted when the work becomes available. ***As An AMERICAN SYSTEMS Lead SharePoint Administrator, You WillAdminister and support three SharePoint farms (development/test and production environments). Monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning. Plan and execute upgrade projects to the latest version of SharePoint, including: Upgrade assessment and roadmap development Infrastructure planning and design Migration of content databases and service applications Testing, validation, and end-user support Manage patching, cumulative updates, and security configurations. Configure and maintain service applications (Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile, etc.). Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues across the environment. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies. Manage permissions, governance policies, and compliance requirements. Work with SQL DBAs to maintain SharePoint databases. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
