The Center emphasizes high-quality service, clear communication, and strong clinical support to help patients achieve meaningful outcomes.Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Occupational Therapy Aide role based in Long Beach, CA. The Occupational Therapy Aide supports licensed occupational and physical therapists with preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, and assisting patients during therapy sessions under supervision. Responsibilities include organizing therapy materials, helping patients safely move to and from treatment areas, and guiding patients through basic exercises as instructed by the therapist. The role also involves cleaning and maintaining equipment, restocking supplies, and keeping treatment spaces safe and orderly. Additional tasks may include scheduling support, documenting basic information as directed, and providing courteous, professional assistance to patients, families, and team members.Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with patients, families, and clinical staff.Foundational knowledge or experience in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to support therapy activities under supervision.Exposure to or interest in Occupational Therapy and related therapeutic techniques in an outpatient or clinical setting.Demonstrated commitment to safe, compassionate Patient Care, including assisting with mobility and basic comfort needs.High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certification (e.g., rehab aide, medical assisting) preferred.Ability to follow clinical instructions, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting light equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and standing or walking for extended periods.Prior experience in a therapy clinic, rehabilitation setting, or medical office is beneficial but not required.
