Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.\n\nJob Description:\n\nParsons is now hiring for a Roadway Engineer II to join our Minneapolis office, supporting our growing portfolio of major transportation projects!\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nIndependently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements –including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status\n\nAnalyzing design issues and providing detail design that satisfies client’s need\n\nDelivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses\n\nSupporting other discipline activities as necessary\n\nMentoring young staff members and providing performance input\n\nDeveloping skill sets to lead project development in the future\n\nProviding technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project\n\nWhat Required Qualifications You'll Bring:\n\nMaster's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)\n\n5+ years of related work experience\n\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required\n\nProficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering\n\nExperience in developing 3D finite elements models\n\nDOT Road and wall design experience\n\nWhat Desired Qualifications You’ll Bring:\n\nExcellent written and communication skills\n\nAbility to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks\n\nProvide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering\n\nDOT pre-certified in Road and culvert design\n\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\n\nNone\n\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.\n\nFor more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
