This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, security, compliance and cloud administration, configuration and infrastructure.\nJob Requirements\nThe Database/Cloud Admin Engineering team is part of NetApp’s IT function and is responsible for a wide range of Relational & NOSQL databases and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure comprising of Databases and Cloud ERP Fusion systems. As a key member of the team, you will help to ensure that team objectives and operational goals are met.\n\nRelational & NOSQL Databases Administration:\n\nInstall, manage and maintain relational databases viz. Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgresql, MySQL, etc and NOSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis,etc\nEnsure high availability, performance, scalability and security.\nPerform regular database patching, upgrades, and migrations.\nConduct periodic performance assessments for finetuning and optimization of SQL queries and database instances.\nImplement and manage backup, recovery and resiliency strategies.\nEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and implement policies, procedures, and standards.\nOCI administration:\n\nManage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including Autonomous Databases, VM Database systems and Golden Gate.\nPerform provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.\nEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.\nOracle Cloud ERP Fusion Administration:\n\nAdminister and manage Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion applications ensuring high performance, availability and stability.\nConfigure and maintain ESS jobs and BIP reports.\nConfigure and maintain role-based access control and data security policies.\nProvision, modify and deprovision user accounts with strict adherence to SOX and other industry-standard compliance requirements besides performing periodic access reviews.\nCoordinate quarterly and one-off updates, patches, and maintenance activities including impact analysis, validations and production readiness.\nParticipate in ERP Roadmap planning, upgrades and enhancement discussions.\nEducation & Key Skillsets:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience in database administration and cloud management.\nHigh proficiency in Relational databases and NoSQL databases.\nExtensive experience with Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion Administration and OCI databases.\nStrong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nPreferred Skills:\n\nExperience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible).\nOCI Data Integration administration skillsets shall be an added advantage.\nBasic understanding of OIC, REST/SOAP APIs and file-based integrations.\nFamiliarity with dashboard implementation and self-service enablement.\nResponsibility and Interaction:\nWorking on multiple projects at scale gathering the requirements, recommending solutions, creating the implementation plan and delivering.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nHandling critical escalated incidents and driving them to closure.\nThis individual interacts primarily with Staff to Director-level employees within the function and with multiple cross-functional teams for driving projects and architectural decisions.\nCompensation:\nThe target salary range for this position is 141,100 - 210,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
