This role is essential inpromotingrecover-oriented practice,professionaldevelopment,and supporting our culture of continuous learning.\r\nThisperson mustbe person-centered,have strong organizationalskills,excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching utilizing core adult learning techniques and relatability to variety ofpersonalities intraineesand coworkers.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to deliver engaging, recovery-based trainings to both community members and agency staff.\r\nLead in-person and hybrid training sessions during varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on cohort schedules.\r\nServe as lead facilitator for WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and other core recovery topics.\r\nComplete the agency's Train the Trainer program.\r\nMaintain and update training materials to ensure content accuracy and relevance.\r\nRepresent the agency at conferences, meetings, and community outreach events.\r\nAssist with newemployeeorientation\r\nBuild rapport with trainees, staff, employers, and community members, cultivating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.\r\nModel PRPSN's values in communication, teaching, and professional conduct.\r\nParticipate in regular team meetings, supervisions, and contribute to collaborative learning.\r\nStrong organizational and interpersonal skills.\r\nAbility to engage diverse audiences using adult learning principles.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nDemonstrates empathy, impartiality, and sound judgment when working with peers, students, and partners.\r\nAdaptable and collaborative team member who manages conflict constructively.\r\nFamiliarity with the mission and approach of Project Return Peer Support Network.\r\nOther Position Qualifications The position is reserved for an individual withmental health and/or justice involved lived experience\r\nPossess a current Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification.\r\nIf not, CAPS Academy would train the employee to achieve Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification.\r\nMust have teaching/trainingexperience related to core recovery topics.\r\nExperience working in the mental health field or other social services.\r\nAbility to travel extensively throughout Los Angeles Countyand surrounding areas in Southern California. Class C driver's license and clean driving record. Proof of valid automobile insurance and ability to be insured by Project Return's liability insurance. Must provide proof of auto liability insurance of a 30,000 / 60,000 policy upon the first day of employment, maintain required coverage amounts and provide ongoing documentation of continuous coverage.\r\nAll employees that drive personal vehicles for daily job functions\r\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
