Document designs and verification activities; perform component & subsystem level verifications, participate in system level verifications and validations as necessary.\nKeep abreast of Linux Service Pack releases, recommend adoption and do the adoption.\nAssist in hardware selection for EoL replacement of alternative modules and for Next Gen HW\nBe interface to root case issues with OS partners (SUSE), FW and HW teams.\nFacilitate performance issues triage and resolution when spanning HW, FW and OS modules or settings.\nAugment OS RPM packaging and install scripts.\nDo Diags development augmenting what comes from IHV and/or ISV.\nImplementing Security and Serviceability changes at Compute layer.\nTest automation development for Diags/ SW packages/Linux SP releases.\nUnderstand research and industry trends in Compute, containers, virtual machines, cyber security, Linux OS and packing technologies.\nWork with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans.\nDrive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.\nSupport process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities\nUnderstand performance parameters and assess application performance.\nProactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with minimum years of experience 6+ years\nExperience with object oriented and modular Linux OS programming and maintaining infrastructure on X86 systems.\nExperience in Linux software packaging, install technologies and various scripting tools such as Bash, Python\nWorking knowledge in configuration management tools such as Git\nDesired Technical Expertise\nMaster's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering\nDemonstrated expertise with Linux Service Packs adoption, security patch installation.\nExperience with automated test suites infrastructure - test case development, automation, and continuous integration.\nFamiliarity with C++ and Python IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, CLion, PyCharm)\nFamiliarity with scripting and C++ programming with Object oriented programing concepts applied in a production software environment.\nExperience with Cyber security tools, pen testing, vulnerabilities diagnosis and delivering software fixes.\nExperience with High Performance Compute or GPU technologies.\nExperience with GPU, Drivers, BIOS, networking, DevOps concepts, software and tools\nPersonal Attributes\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nEffective teaming and problem-solving abilities.\nPersists to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks.
