In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditionsAdminister oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medicationsPerform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testingCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plansEducate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and disease managementMaintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standardsOperate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring proper function and safetyRequirements:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.Current Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) as required by state regulations.Certification by NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) preferred or required.BLS and ACLS certification required.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Experience in acute care, ICU, or emergency settings preferred.
