Millwork Lead Design Engineer
A Lead Design Engineer is responsible for shepherding our projects from the handoff to completed submittals, ensuring the highest level of quality is met and cultivating a comfortable and productive working environment, among other duties.
The Lead Design Engineer will need to inspire the team to perform at their best and keep them motivated, requiring excellent communicative and interpersonal skills.
Reports To: Greg Cook, Director of Engineering
Objectives
1. Provides planning, organizing, and scheduling to accommodate the specific project requirements.
2. Assists with the monitoring of project scopes, RFIs, objectives, company policies, procedures and performance standards.
4. Assists the Director of Engineering with special projects/initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities
Monitor and evaluate team performance relating to projects
Adhere to the project budgets
Review, highlight, & define Architectural drawings and project spec books
Internal reviewing of shop drawings and hardware specs.
At times liaison between PM team and Engineering team
Be motivating and inspiring and facilitate personal growth.
Ensuring high levels of productivity are maintained.
Ensuring the highest levels of quality are met.
Communicate job expectations to staff.
Fostering a productive working environment.
Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations.

Requirements
Education/Experience
Valid driver's license.
At least three years’ experience as an engineer or similar.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
A great understanding of work optimization techniques.
Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities.
Good time management and problem-solving skills.
A willingness to work overtime, if needed.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
