{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"498d9bc98d57bc16ee1e693d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/498d9bc98d57bc16ee1e693d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/498d9bc98d57bc16ee1e693d","title":"Material Handler - 2nd Shift","description":"Material HandlerTitle: Material Handler - 2nd shiftJob Classification: Hourly, Non-exemptDepartment: Warehouse/Material Management Reports To: Warehouse SupervisorGeneral purpose of Job: Manages the workflow of materials between departments; Warehouse, Production, and Mail EntryEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPull/Move products to directed warehouse staging areas, secure locations, and departments.Review products for quality and accuracy before distributing by following standard operating proceduresManaging the material flow throughout the process from Warehouse to Production to Mail EntryMove completed pallets to Mail EntryHelp load and unload trucks for Mail Entry and Warehouse as needed.Use forklift and pallet jacks to move skids to their locations/departmentsScan pallets into correct Locations/DestinationsWork as a team member to complete jobs accurately and on time.Keep warehouse areas clean and organized at all times.Any other duties assigned by supervisorPerformance Measurement: Performance feedback will take place both verbally and written on a day-to-day as needed basis, recognition in monthly employee recognition meetings, formal training on changes in SOP as needed with a formal review by the supervisor at least annuallyEducation And/or Experience And QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience or training.Maintain current license for forklift & rider power jacks.Able to work independently and maintain production standards.Able to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures established by ManagementAble to read, understand and follow Impact Policies regarding attendance/behavior/procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Able to meet deadlines established and exercise good judgment.Basic technology skills are required such as using a smart phone, and e-mailing. Additional computer skills are desirable.Language And Math SkillsAbility to read, write and speak English at a sufficient level to understand/follow/complete all tasks assigned. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations sufficient to receive, pull, and calculate inventory balances. This shall include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Physical DemandsOften standing or walking, may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Often lift up to 40 lbs & sometimes up to 70 lbs. Use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, & ability to focus.Work EnvironmentWork near moving mechanical parts, fumes & air borne particles, risk of electrical shock, and exposure to toxic chemicals.
