The key objective of this role is to reduce variation in operating methods thereby improving the reliability and repeatability of processes while leading comprehensive continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nThe Process Engineer will work to lead technician teams to standardize processes and procedures including, but not limited to, picking, loading, and maintenance of warehouse equipment. This role will work with MLC Leaders to ensure that the formal change process is used thereby ensuring that change proposals are appropriately evaluated prior to change.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProvide process engineering support to MLC Departments under the direction of the CI Manager.\n\nLead teams of Technicians to create and maintain standard documentation for the various operations in the MLC, ensuring uniformity across the network; stay current on industry standards and latest developments; apply best practices and ensure they are approved and documented; critically analyze processes/systems/practices to identify gaps/opportunities for improvement.\n\nFocus on cost reduction programs, process improvements, and engineering service requests as well as evaluation and recommendation of process capital improvements and automation in coordination with Project Engineers.\n\nDevelop the following documents: Department Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures; maintain Process Audit Sheets, Startup & Shutdown procedures, and Operational Cleaning procedures; develop documentation for new projects and maintain annually (or as required) for ongoing systems.\n\nWork with Project Engineering to set appropriate documentation standards for vendors and contractors that will facilitate ease of use in developing training documentation for warehouse staff.\n\nParticipate in documentation to support Journey to Excellence activities and projects.\n\nAssist with coaching and developing Technicians to improve their problem‑solving skills, allowing them to be more effective team members; teams may be formed to attack a specific defect/loss or to support a specific project/initiative.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) preferred; Food Science or relevant industry experience also acceptable.\n\nExperience: One year of relevant production/engineering experience; recent graduate with relevant co‑op/internship experience acceptable.\n\nKnowledge of warehouse operations and equipment preferred.\n\nExperience developing and writing procedures with cross‑functional teams.\n\nInterpersonal Skills\nStrong interpersonal skills, communication, influence; facilitative coaching and mentoring skills; full involvement with MPWS system; mentoring, coaching and leading technical skills development.\n\nOther Skills & Competencies\nProficiency in statistical methods; strong organizational and grammatical skills; self‑starter; adept at MS Office (Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Word); SAP, Adobe Acrobat Writer; PLC, CAD system and shop floor integration expertise a plus.\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive compensation.\n\nCareer growth opportunities.\n\nFlexibility and support for diverse life stages and choices.\n\nWellbeing programs.\n\nComprehensive health plans (medical, vision, dental, life and disability).\n\nPaid parental leave, fertility benefits, Employee Assistance Program, caregiver support.\n\nRetirement and investment programs including 401(k) and profit‑sharing plans.\n\nCompensation\nBase salary: $63,250 – $110,680, determined based on location, skills, education, experience and internal equity.
