This individual will play a critical role in shaping how Ameriprise shows up in client-facing communications, translating complex ideas and business priorities into clear, compelling layouts and modular designs that are compelling, clear and on-brand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and brings innovative ideas while upholding brand guidelines.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nLead and contribute to omnichannel visual design direction to ensure accuracy, timeliness, consistency and correct brand positioning.\r\nSet design standards and guiding principles for modular content components and templates and serve as a resource for educating business partners on best practices.\r\nWork closely with internal and external business partners to design content for digital channels and ensure creative contributes to a cohesive and engaging client experience.\r\nCollaborate with business partners to understand design needs as well as opportunities.\r\nApply best practices in usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance to ensure content experiences are effective across platforms, devices, and environments.\r\nMonitor design and template effectiveness and implement improvements.\r\nRecommend new tactics by leveraging analytics, industry trends and testing insights. Drive future enhancements and design updates based on findings.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelors degree or equivalent\r\n5+ years of professional experience in content design, digital design, or visual communications, with a portfolio demonstrating strong work across multiple digital channels, including email.\r\nDeep understanding of design systems, brand standards, accessibility principles, and responsive design best practices.\r\nExperience creating and managing modular templates, component libraries, and scalable design patterns using tools such as Figma, Stensul and related design platforms.\r\nWorking knowledge of email HTML/CSS and digital production considerations to support effective collaboration with developers and content production partners.\r\nAbility to use analytics and performance insights to inform design decisions and continuously improve audience engagement.\r\nStrong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience working in marketing (B2C or B2B) or a media or agency environment is a plus\r\nFamiliarity with workflow and project management tools such as Workfront and Jira\r\nExperience with email testing tools (ex. Litmus, Email on Acid) is a plus\r\nExperience producing creative work within financial services or other highly regulated industries, or an understanding of financial services consumer mindsets.\r\nIn-Office Collaboration\r\nWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business.
