This position will include testing proto type units and boards, troubleshooting existing equipment systems and boards and System level compliance scans. If you are interested in computer or controller hardware please apply.\n\nAs a Hardware Engineering Technician, a typical day might include the following:\n\nPerform basic electronic hardware tests in accordance with defined engineering procedures or guidelines under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.\nBuild engineering prototypes under the direction of an electrical engineer or experienced technician. Document prototype construction and maintain pertinent engineering records.\nAssist engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components.\nAssemble test fixtures, load banks, and other components common to product development.\nProvide support to engineering staff as needed.\nProcess Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of modest complexity under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.\nUnderstand. Create. Simplify.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nThis job might be for you if:\n\nTwo-year electronic technology or related associate degree\nWorking knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits\nFamiliarity with modern test equipment\nFamiliarity with PLC and setting up or building computers\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL\nNegative drug test result(s)\n\nIt is a plus if you have:\n\nFamiliarity with C and assembly languages\nExperience with O.S. and computer equipment\nPractical knowledge of 3-phase power systems\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nNone\n\nLocation\n\nPullman, WA- SEL corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
