Able to work independently, with guidance. Position reports to the UI DER Unit Manager and support department needs as required.\nResponsibilities:\nSolve moderately complex Distributed Generation (DG) problems. Utilizes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. (e.g. Customer generators, photovoltaic systems, fuel cells).\nApprove, maintain, & understand drawings (e.g. schematics, one-line diagrams, site plans). Develop & specify equipment, assemble documents & other requirements for assignments of complex level of difficulty using depth & breadth of expertise in own discipline.\nManage and provide direction for resources outside of the department/company.\nPossess knowledge within DG industry and interpret processes and standards related to DG systems. Recommend solutions and best practices where appropriate.\nPerform standard electrical engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches. Develop alternate methods or design concepts to resolve problems or to improve processes/services.\nSolve straightforward electrical engineering problems. Analyze possible solutions and assess each using standard procedures related to lines and power engineering.\nSupport technical requests from current and proposed customers with regards to generator interconnections.\nEach employee must accept responsibility for their own safety and health as well as the safety and health of their fellow employees.\nNote: The above Key Responsibilities/Duties are not intended to be all inclusive.
