This role requires strong leadership in Zero Trust architectures, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), AI-driven data protection, and compliance frameworks.\r\nYour role and responsibilities\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDevelop enterprise data security strategies and roadmaps, including target operating models and security in data governance.\r\nIdentify fit-for-purpose solutions for standard data security use cases (e.g., DLP, CASB, data discovery and classification, DSPM, digital rights management).\r\nCollaborate with solution partners to create IBM points of view, assets, and accelerators.\r\nBuild capabilities to implement enterprise data security solutions (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Palo Alto, Cyera).\r\nAct as a recognized thought leader through conferences, white papers, and client presentations to showcase IBM credentials.\r\nShape the emerging model of the Data Security Practice and drive innovation.\r\nProvide practice leadership by fostering a community of practitioners for knowledge sharing and growth.\r\nDeliver complex consulting projects successfully, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met.\r\nLead projects and ensure client satisfaction.\r\nThis Job can be Performed from anywhere in the US.\r\nRequired technical and professional expertise\r\nEnterprise Data Security Strategy – Design and implement security strategies and roadmaps for large-scale organizations.\r\nData Governance & Operating Models – Expertise in building target operating models and embedding security in governance frameworks.\r\nSecurity Solutions Expertise – Hands-on experience with DLP, CASB, data discovery and classification, and DSPM. Working knowledge of PKI, Encryption and CLI.\r\nTechnology Enablement – Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Palo Alto, Cyera.\r\nCloud Security – Knowledge of secure cloud architectures.\r\nCompliance & Risk Management – Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA) and risk assessment methodologies.\r\nConsulting Mindset – Translate technical solutions into business value and communicate effectively with executives.\r\nLeadership & Team Management – Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior consultants.\r\nClient Relationship Management – Build trust and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and delivery excellence.\r\nProblem-Solving – Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing innovative solutions.\r\nCollaboration & Influence – Work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners to drive outcomes.\r\nThought Leadership – Represent IBM at conferences, publish white papers, and contribute to industry discussions.\r\nPreferred technical and professional experience\r\n10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in consulting.\r\nProven success in consulting engagements.\r\nCertifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.\r\nIBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
