This role reports to the Chief Engineer and works closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Field Engineers to ensure every system Code3AV delivers is intuitive, reliable, and exactly what was promised. Programming is one of the most client-visible phases of any AV project — it's where hardware becomes a functional system the client actually uses. The AV Systems Programmer owns that transformation. A well-programmed system that works intuitively from day one is what separates a good project from a great one. This role spans the full programming lifecycle: pre-construction code preparation, offsite staging and testing, on-site support, client training, and closeout documentation. This role embodies continuous learning - both by gaining and sharing knowledge - to elevate technical excellence across Code3AV.\nResponsibilities\nProgram Development\nDevelop custom user interfaces using modern technologies, ensuring workflows are streamlined and appropriate for the application. Develop AV control system programs using the latest standards-based languages and software. Develop with the mindset that everything is created in small parts, and these parts could be broken off and used in future projects.\nStaging and Testing\nConfigure AV system components, including control systems, network switches, endpoints, etc. Ensure systems are fully functional before shipping to the client. Every input, output, audio channel, touchpanel button, etc. is tested and validated.\nCoordination and Planning\nParticipate in team meetings to review projects and align understanding with sales and engineering teams. Participate in client meetings to discuss workflows, demonstrate user interface designs, and ensure customer expectations align with executed statements of work.\nField and Operations Support\nWork closely with field engineers to address deployment issues and last-mile customer preference requests. Develop user manuals and quick-guides for training and everyday operation.
