The Systems Reliability Engineering (SRE) team helps Imagineers create and deliver the software solutions that power experiences in our theme parks and resorts. Systems Reliability Engineers use a software engineering approach to architect, design, automate, monitor, and build applications at scale. This includes operating and engineering software with close business segment alignment to deliver platforms through efficient, effective and resilient architectures.\nSREs are talented engineers that are focused on improving quality through a data driven approach: instrumentation, automation, and functional/unit testing.\nCore Must Haves\n1) Linux system admin and Windows but willing to consider only Linux backgrounds.\n2) At least 1 programming language (Go, Python, Ruby)\n3) Cloud skills and Public Cloud hosting background\nDuties\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience with CI/CD Platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)\nCollaborate with development teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub.\nMonitor system performance using tools like New Relic and Splunk; perform log analysis to identify issues.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.\nTroubleshoot software issues across various environments including Linux, Windows Server, and UNIX.\nImplement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.\nManage databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or DynamoDB; optimize queries for performance.\nEnsure security best practices are followed in cloud infrastructure and application deployments.\nParticipate in incident management processes; respond to outages and service disruptions promptly.\nDocument processes, procedures, and system configurations for knowledge sharing.\nRequirements\nProficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Golang, Python, Ruby\nExperience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef.\nKnowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, firewall configurations, and computer networking principles.\nUnderstanding of distributed systems architecture and microservices design patterns.\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware), and Cloud Automation Tools (Boto, CloudFormation, Terraform)\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and IT project management practices.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging and troubleshooting software issues.\nKnowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration is a plus.\nExperience with enterprise software deployment within a DevOps culture is highly desirable.
