The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Superintendent and project team to help coordinate daily field operations, maintain schedules, support subcontractor and self-perform activities, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role is ideal for a developing field leader with strong construction knowledge and a desire to grow into a Superintendent role.\n\nWhat Youll Do\n\nAssist the Superintendent with day-to-day field supervision of construction activities\nHelp coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries\nSupport implementation of the project schedule and assist with short-term planning\nMonitor work progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards\nAssist with site logistics, work sequencing, and coordination between trades\nHelp enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements\nParticipate in job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and daily planning meetings\nAssist with documentation including daily reports, work progress tracking, and issue resolution\nCommunicate effectively with project management, field crews, subcontractors, and inspectors\nSupport punch list completion, inspections, and closeout activities\nPerform additional duties as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager\n\nWhat Were Looking For\n\nMinimum of 3 years of field experience in heavy civil, water, or wastewater construction\nExperience supporting field supervision, crew coordination, or subcontractor oversight preferred\nWorking knowledge of construction means and methods\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules\nStrong understanding of jobsite safety practices and quality control requirements\nAbility to effectively communicate with field personnel, subcontractors, and management\nAbility to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites\nAbility to take direction from supervisors and remain task-oriented\nCommitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines\n\nThis job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position.
