This position will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance.This role is a hands-on senior-level accounting professional responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Managing day-to-day accounting, audits, and Accounts receivable. Managing a small team and assisting in improving accounting policies for a fast-growing organization.QBE is looking for someone to partner up with the Sr. Finance Director and drive financial transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, AI-enabled efficiencies, building scalable accounting infrastructure capable of supporting rapid organizational growth.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Financial Reporting & ComplianceOversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirementsMaintain internal controls and strengthen them as the company growsCoordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditorsAccounting OperationsSupervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgerManage the month-end and year-end close processesImplement and maintain accounting policies and proceduresOversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedulesBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisDevelop financial statements and work with finance to understand financial forecastsCash Management & TreasuryMonitor cash flow and working capitalManage banking relationships and credit facilitiesOversee cash disbursements and optimize liquiditySupport investment or financing decisionsStrategic Financial LeadershipPartner with the Sr. Director of Finance to guide financial strategySystems, Processes & TechnologyEnsure data integrity and accuracy across financial systemsTax & Regulatory OversightCoordinate federal, state, and local tax filingsEnsure compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, and other obligationsWork with external tax advisors as neededMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required (CPA preferred)10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experienceExperience operating within a fast-growing small business organization with multi-entity, multi-location, or operational complex organizationStrong technical accounting foundation with GAAP and DFARProven success leading accounting transformations, control enhancements, process improvement and organizational buildout initiativesPreferred System Qualifications:Experience of working with ERP system UnanetExperience with implementing expense management systems, such as ConcurEqual Opportunity Employment StatementQBE is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
