Adjunct Vocal Music

Position Summary: The Cline School of Music at North Greenville University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member in Voice. Primary responsibility will be teaching private contemporary voice lessons to undergraduate students. North Greenville University is a teaching university of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is a tobacco and alcohol-free campus. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS This position is a part-time position in the Cline School of Music and reports first to the director of vocal studies, and then to the Associate Dean of the School. WORK SCHEDULE The working hours of the University are M-F 8:00 to 5:00, however times beyond those may be required. The schedule of the adjunct will be determined by the mutually determined teaching assignments.Master's degree required in vocal music or a related fieldPreference will be given to applicants holding a terminal degreeTenor or Baritone preferred.Successful record of private studio teaching required. Successful college-level teaching is preferred.Training and expertise in Estill Voice Training (EVT), Somatic Voicework (the LoVetri Method), or Contemporary Commercial Music strongly preferred. If no contemporary training, the candidate will be asked to acquire these skills.Evidence of scholarly potentialExcellent musicianship, including fluent keyboard skills to support voice instruction required.Supports NGU's mission statement and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle and character in keeping with biblical model
