Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description JURICH INC. is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanic to become a part of our team. We perform heavy civil construction and heavy maintenance work throughout the Delaware Valley.3 years' experience in this role required.Job descriptionCandidate is responsible to diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; such as, bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks (CDL), small vehicles, trailers, and small engine equipment used in heavy highway and bridge construction. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements.Keep work area clean, orderly and safeProvide routine maintenance of equipmentAssemble, set up, adjust and/or repair all types of construction equipment and partsOperate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defectsRead and understand operating manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsDismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand toolsOverhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiencyAdjust, maintain and repair or replace subassemblies; such as transmissions and crawler heads using hand tools, jacks and cranesExamine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gaugesWeld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering toolsSchedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment and maintain service recordsFit bearings to adjust, repair or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentAdjust and maintain industrial machinery using control and regulating devicesClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenanceCERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESMechanical knowledge of machines and toolsMathematicsRepairing and troubleshootingEquipment maintenanceControl precisionManual dexterityExtent flexibilityFinger dexterityNear visionClass A/B CDL (preferred)PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
