Capable of leading several project related tasks and/or large, strategic projects simultaneously. Provides engineering support on projects led by others. Assumes ultimate responsibility for the assigned projects/tasks. Takes direction and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, the supervisors, and company leadership.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nBachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.\nTypically, 10+ years total experience.\nProven Track Record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nTechnical Responsibilities:\n\nLead, train, and mentor co-workers during start-up and commissioning of systems.\nExpert in reading and interpreting piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams. Able to provide feedback regarding field conditions versus drawings.\nExpert with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.\nAssists in maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).\nFirm understanding of migration paths and upgrading of legacy control systems.\nAble to independently design complex control systems.\nProvide instrumentation specifications for complex control systems.\nValue engineer specifications to provide the most cost-effective solutions.\nLeads detailed design of complex Information Technology (IT) systems, network infrastructure, and computer system designs, as it relates to control system integration.\nHighly competent in the design of complex HMI systems.\nAble to author complex design documents.\n\nCustomer Service:\n\nCommunicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.\nFollow customer specific site standards and procedures.\nAlways conduct business in professional manner.\nProvide excellent customer care and support.\nBe patient, attentive, and responsive to customers in solving their problems.\nAlways follow up and honor commitments with customers.\nExpert in understanding and servicing customer needs and provides recommendations to enhance those needs.\n\nProject Responsibilities:\n\nComplete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.\nLead individual project related tasks and/or large projects in their entirety.\nAssume the ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of projects or tasks on schedule and under budget.\nTake on the role of the customer’s main contact on those projects that the employee is assigned to lead.\nIdentify changes in scope to overall projects and/or tasks.\nProvide support on other projects or tasks that are scheduled to be led by others.\nManage and delegate assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.\nUnderstands and anticipates customer needs.\nAccurately estimates the duration and difficulty of tasks.\nEnsures the team adheres to a realistic schedule and budget.\nSeeks opportunities for new work with customers and contractors.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\n\nWhere applicable, directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction, operations, and/or maintenance tasks and assignments at a project site.\n\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\n\nNetworks across the company to accomplish objectives.\nExecutes work in the most efficient manner.\nEvaluates and adapts to the strengths and shortcomings of others.\nWilling to take on undesirable responsibilities to help the team.\nCommitted to further developing technical and leadership skills.\nActively participates in company trainings and trade shows to showcase company expertise\n\nTravel required:\n\nOvernight travel may be required up to 50%\n\nOn Call:\n\nOn call rotation participation may be required based on location and client needs.\n\nWork Authorization/Other Requirements:\n\nProof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.\nMaintain a valid drivers license.\nFit for Duty at all times\n\nCulture:\n\nModel Thermo Systems core values of employee success, customer success and financial strength by:\n\nSeeking new and additional business through project change orders, additional services to existing customers, and referrals for new customers/projects.
