In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), managing projects from conception to completion, and working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license (FE and less years experience will be considered with agreement that the PE must be obtained) and possess previous expertise in NEC code, UL508A, UL certification, and electrical industry best practices. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to apply data as the foundation for decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities:\nReview, specify, and implement with design engineers the electrical systems for our product following NEC code and best industry practices.\nReview electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for new projects and system upgrades.\nLead technical review sessions to ensure alignment with project requirements and safety standards.\nServe as an NEC code representative for the US market, ensuring all designs comply with current code requirements.\nReview and assess designs to ensure compliance with UL508A standards, supporting UL certification processes for electrical panels and equipment.\nUphold safety, efficiency, and reliability as central priorities for all electrical systems.\nManage and lead multiple electrical engineering projects, keeping them on schedule and within budget.\nCoordinate with clients, contractors, factory, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.\nPrepare technical reports, project updates, and documentation for project completion and closeout.\nDesign and implement electrical control systems, integrating PLCs, HMIs, and automation components.\nSupport integration and debugging of communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and other industrial communication standards.\nTroubleshoot and optimize control systems for improved performance and reduced downtime.\nMentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and professional development support.\nCollaborate effectively with mechanical engineers, software developers, project managers, and other cross-functional team members.\nRepresent the company in meetings with clients and industry partners as a subject matter expert in NEC code, electrical engineering, and control systems.\nStay updated on advancements in electrical engineering, NEC updates, and relevant industry trends to maintain leading-edge expertise.\nSuggest improvements to existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance\nSupporting and leading collaboration between global & local strategy with Mexico factory (+ other global factories) teams, as well global strategy with Europe.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\nEngineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification required indicating passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. (PE preferred)\n4+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on NEC code, project management, and system design.\nComprehensive knowledge of NEC, UL508A, and related standards.\nFamiliarity with industrial and building control protocols, including Modbus and BACnet.\nStrong project management skills with proven success managing concurrent projects.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both clients and colleagues.\nAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.\nAutomation and controls technology\nTechnical leadership experience\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications:\nPE licensure preferred.\n7+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on NEC code, project management, and system design.\nProficiency in industrial and building control protocols, including Modbus, BACnet and Ethernet/IP.\nExperience with power quality analysis, power factor correction, and harmonic distortion\nExperience with Microsoft Azure products & tools, like databases, IoT, AI\nExperience with MQTT, API, and webhook networking protocols\nExperience with data analytics and data-driven development\nWe are looking for a highly motivated individual, looking for a high level of responsibility, who is passionate about electrical engineering excellence and committed to delivering quality products and results.
