Sales Development Representative

Purpose:SWJ TECHNOLOGY is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team. As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure that our company’s sales goals are met.We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of success in sales. If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities for the companyContacting (Cold Calling) and qualifying potential customersSet appointments for Business Unit Managers and follow up on leadsTrack progress towards meeting sales goalsCollaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop strategies for reaching sales targetsUse customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activitiesStay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developmentsAttend networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leadsProvide regular reports on sales activities and results to managementQualifications:2-3 years of experience in sales or customer serviceBA/BS degree (preferred but not required)Required Skills:Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with potential clientsKnowledge of sales techniques and strategiesStrong problem-solving and negotiation skillsTime management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability to changeA desire to learn and grow in the sales fieldBachelor’s degree in business or related fieldPhysical Requirements:Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbsMust be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practicesFLSA Status/Working Schedule:Location:Tuscaloosa ALSchedule:Straight DaysCore Hours:8pm-5pm, Monday – FridayWeekend Work:NoneAssignment Start:ASAPDISCLAIMER:This job description is a high-level overview of general expectations of this position.
