Walsh is a successful fast-growing company at the forefront of technology and is committed to being the employer of choice to our employees and the builder of choice to our customers.\nThere are many compelling reasons why exceptional people should consider a career with our company:\nChallenging, complex work\nCreative and innovative problem-solving environment\nSupportive, communicative managers who reward hard work\nOpportunities for growth, training, and development\nFlexibility in career path & progression\nOpportunities to work and live all over the United States\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordination of P&L on project with large contract values (generally close to or over $1billion)\nMentor and train Project Accountants and Associate Project Accountants if applicable\nRepresent the company in owner and JV meetings and relations.\nManage all job and subcontractor-related duties listed below on mega projects:\nHeavy involvement in cost forecasting\nCoordination of owner billing\nDevelops strong relationship with project staff\nDetailed review of all line items of cost report\nProvide analytical information to project Operations team on individual jobs (Program Manager/Regional Operations Manager level)\nReport issues and findings to Business Group Accounting Manager and project staff\nReview to ensure all cost and billings are booked in the proper months\nRun and review report of outstanding accounts receivable and contact Program Manager/Regional Operations Manager for collection\nFinalize job closeout, including providing final documentation to owner and handling any open issues\nCoordination of documentation on legal issues\nJournal entry cost as necessary for confidential items\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelors’ Degree in Accounting or equivalent\n3-5 years of construction accounting experience required\nExperience in CMiC or other ERP systems preferred\nExperience in reading or interpreting financial statements\nStrong verbal and written skills needed to communicate with external subcontractors and internal mid to upper level management\nSome light travel involved\nDivision: Service Group\nJob Category: Project Management\nJob Type: Full_time\nPlease note that job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
