In the U.S, WSP was recognized on TIME’s list of the world’s best companies and Fortune’s Change the World list. nAs part of our team, you will have access to an unparalleled network of resources and endless opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects with diverse teammates from across the globe. nYour Impact nnnDesign light foundations and structures for solar farms, battery energy storage facilities, and substation projects n nnDesign heavy foundations and structures for large power generation projects: generators, turbines, transformers, pipe racks, gas compressors, metal building systems, and masonry walls/buildings. n nnDesign structural steel systems for buildings, Platforms, equipment supports, etc. n nnCoordinate design requirements with drafter/designers n nnOccasionally travel to clients and projects and sites to interface with clients, verify existing conditions, and monitor construction progress (5%-10% travel) n nnInteract with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner n nnProactively collaborate with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local, and privately funded improvement and development projects, as well as proposal and business development opportunities. n nnExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. n nnPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. n n nWho You Are nRequired Qualifications nnnBachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering n nn7+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience. n nnPE license n nnProficient with structural engineering principles, practices, process, and the application to project work-related issues. n nnWell-defined specific knowledge of relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. n nnExperience with power generation, transmission, and distribution projects n nnHighly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. n nnDemonstrated high-level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. n nnHighly proficient with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, AutoCAD, RISA, STADD), technology, math principles, physics, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools. n nnWell-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, computations, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution. n nnDemonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently. n nnKnowledge of geotechnical engineering n nnExperience with pre-engineered metal building systems n nnExperience with seismic analysis and design n nnProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. n nnAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. n nnOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. n nnOpen to longer duration field assignments with the duration of 1 to 18 months n n nPreferred Qualifications: nnMaster’s Degree in Engineering. n nWSP Benefits: nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
